Sick Kiddos? Stop Vomiting in Minutes with Essential Oils for Children
Hey there fellow moms! So, let me tell you about a recent morning that was anything but usual. My 2-year-old toddler woke up around 5 am (which is pretty rare in our house), and everything seemed fine. He even had his breakfast like a champ.
But then, out of the blue, it hit us – he started vomiting.
Now, I’ve been through many parenting challenges, but this was my first experience with toddler vomiting, and it was tough!
Quick solution (steps) – how to stop vomiting with essential oils:
- 1 drop of doTERRA Zengest in the palm of my hand,
- teaspoon of olive oil
- mix well
- apply on child’s tummy in a circular, clockwise motion
- Repeat the same steps every 2 hours.
At that moment, I had no clue how to handle it. Thankfully, we were at my mom’s place, and she came to the rescue. The vomiting episodes lasted for what felt like an eternity, about 3 to 4 hours. Our little one was throwing up every 10-15 minutes (I didn’t keep a precise count), and I was feeling helpless.
Thankfully, we managed to put an end to it with the help of something that might sound a bit unconventional to some of you – essential oils for vomiting child. Now, I know that not everyone is a fan of essential oils, and that’s perfectly okay. But I want to share this experience with you because it truly made a difference for us, and it might help someone else out there dealing with the same situation.
How to Stop Vomiting with Essential Oils? A Home Remedy

The “magic” solution we used is called Zengest (also known as DigestZen), which is an essential oil blend.
Here’s what we did: I mixed just one drop of it with about a teaspoon of olive oil. After mixing it in the palms of my hands, I applied it gently to my toddler’s tummy in a circular, clockwise motion.
Would you believe that after the first application, he started feeling so much better? I was over the moon with relief!
Just before applying the oil, I was in panic mode, on my way to the emergency room. I even called the children’s hospital while driving there. The doctor on call advised me to keep a close eye on him and, if the vomiting continued, to bring him in.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to go to the hospital, and I’m beyond grateful for that.
We applied the oil mixture a second time a couple of hours later, just to make sure he didn’t have any other discomfort, but the vomiting had already stopped after the first application.
