It’s time for another review for you guys. You already might know this, but I am going to say it again: I am constantly searching and reviewing new products. Many of them are chosen according to my skin issues and needs. This time around is no different and I would like to write about this amazing discovery that has done wonders on my hair – Avalon Organics Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Conditioner. Oh, wow! That’s a really long name 🙂

 My problem

If you are like me and you are struggling with an itchy and flaky scalp that has a “sort of” dandruff on the roots, then I would definitely check out this product. In my case, this appears only after a couple of days after washing it and/or whenever I scratch my scalp. There are some dry patches in my hair. I also noticed that whenever I apply a mousse or hairspray onto my hair this dandruff would appear the next day.

When I was in Romania, I decided to go to a dermatologist to have it checked out. She has recommended an anti- dandruff treatment. It was a shampoo called Dan Free – looks like this product is not available outside Romania. This was a great product and has helped me, but after I stopped using it, everything went back to normal. So I knew that I needed to try something else.

Scalp Treatment Conditioner

At first, when I saw this product in a supermarket I was very skeptical as I didn’t know if it’s going to work or not. The description from packaging has caught my interest, so I decided to give it a go. And now, a few months later, I am very happy with my purchase and it has done wonders with my scalp. I am no longer embarrassed in “showing” my hair roots.

Product facts

Avalon Organics as a brand has many products in skin, hair and body care. On their website, you can see their entire range of products. You can also find that they have a large variety of products that are specially created for several skin types, characteristics and needs. So far, I have used just their Scalp Conditioner Treatment with Tea Tree Oil. There is a matching shampoo, which is really great! It can be even more effective. If you would like to see what other products they have, I would recommend checking out on their website.

So going back to the Scalp Treatment with Tea Tree Oil, it retails for approximately £6-7 depending on the store. You can find it either in local shops or online. It comes in a 325ml bottle with a “press-down” lid. Not sure if it’s the correct terminology for this type of lid, but hopefully makes sense for you.

According to the packaging, this product claims to soothe scalp irritation and to leave your hair soft and healthy-looking.

To be honest with you, it does exactly what it says on the packaging, which, in my opinion, is a huge plus.

Scalp Treatment Conditioner

Pros (what I like):

  • Very moisturizing
  • Ideal for scalp discomfort
  • It has Tea Tree Essential Oil, which is one of my favorite products to use in my skin care
  • Organic and clean ingredients
  • Cruelty free
  • you have the choice to use the shampoo – which will be even more efficient on your hair.

Cons (what I don’t like):

There is only one thing I noticed about this product that I don’t like. I accidentally applied the product on my forehead and temples and noticed that it had irritated my skin. I had some red patches, but it wasn’t anything severe and after a couple of hours the redness has disappeared without leaving any rash or something of the sort. Since then, I was just a bit more careful when applying the product and didn’t have any issues. That’s what I highly recommend you guys do if you decide to use this product.

How I use it

In terms of how I used it, I followed the instructions on the packaging. If I am honest, I always leave it on for a longer period of time. Maybe that’s why I have those red patches on my skin #guilty

So, please do as the packaging says! Don’t be like me 🙂

I put lots of product into the palm of my hand and then, using my fingertips I am just applying it onto my scalp, massaging gently using circular motions. Leave it to action for 1-3 minutes, or if you are like me, leave it for more 🙂 I always use it in the shower and tend to clip my hair up and leave it until I wash my body. Rinse with loads of water and that’s it. You now have a very nice, healthy looking hair.

In conclusion

Another great product that’s worth checking out! Especially, if you have itchy and flaky scalp like I do. But please ensure that you avoid your face as it can cause redness.

Have you tried it already? Please tell me what you thoughts are in the comments below. I would love to hear them.

Until next time, take care & stay beautiful!
